Buffalo-area undergraduates interested in journalism, and professional journalists who want additional academic training, can apply for college and graduate school scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year.
The Greater Buffalo International Chapter, Society of Professional Jouranlists, has awarded 134 scholarships worth $116,250 since 1978. Applications must be residents of Western New York, northwestern Pennsylvania or southern Ontario and attend an accredited college in the United States or Canada. Those living outisde the chpater area who attend Western New York college also are eligible.
Applications must include a breif statement outlingin career commitment, financial need and letters of recommendation.
